Baratta Creek, Bowling Green Bay National Park, is dispersed bush camping set in coastal mangrove beside an intertidal creek 100km south of Townsville. Facilities are not provided so campers must be completely self-sufficient. Insect repellent is a must.

The site is pay to stay and not pet friendly.

Cost: $5.95 per person per night, or $23.80 per family per night | Bookings can be made online at: http://parks.nprsr.qld.gov.au/permits



Getting there: The camping areas can be reached via bush tracks leading towards the creek off Jerona Road in the national park.  Jerona Road is off the Bruce Hwy 40km from Ayr, 90km from Townsville. The camping area can be reached by four-wheel-drive vehicle only.
