Alligator Creek, Bowling Green Bay Nat Park, Townsville is a great stop to relax among gum trees or go walking to explore the surrounding creek environment. The campground provides designated sites for tent based camping and is not suitable for Caravans, camper trailers and motorhomes. Flushing toilets, cold showers, tap (water must be treated before drinking), camping tables and a public phone are provided.
This is a popular day use spot with swimmers and campers so bookings are essential. A beautiful spot close to Townsville.
The site is pay to stay and not pet friendly.

Getting there: Turn off the Bruce Highway, 25 km south of Townsville or 65 km north of Ayr. The entrance to the Mount Elliot section of the park is 5.5 km from the highway. Access is suitable for conventional vehicles. The gate to the camping and day-use areas is open from 6.30 am to 6.30 pm daily.
