The Diggings, Turon River National Park, open grass area along the banks of the Turon River. The site is littered with old mining pits from a by gone era which is an interesting feature. Four wheel driving is a draw card for this national park with plenty of river crossings and tracks. This camp ground is the perfect spot to set up a base camp. The sites lack of facilities means you'll need to bring everything.

The area is rich with bird and wild life, and the rolling hills and river make for a beautiful back drop.

Getting there: About 1km north of Capertee on the Castlereagh Hwy take take Turon Gates Rd. This will take you out to the gates of the national park and eventually to the campsites. Note: 4x4 access only. Several creek crossings.
