Newnes Camp Ground, Wollemi National Park, is a large grassed area surrounded by tall gums, set in the center of a massive sandstone amphitheater.
After you explore the many hiking tracks, old tunnels or the historic mining ruins nearby, you can take a dip in the crystal clear sandy shallows of Wolgan River that flows through the campground.
Camping is available on both sides of the river with access to the ruins side of the river by 4WD near the Newnes Hotel.
A beautiful spot to relax by the campfire and take in the natural beauty.
