Balgal Beach Rest Area 2, Balgal Beach, north of Townsville is a shady beach side campground set up for the traveling public. Good for tent based camping and small trailers this site has basic facilities with a 48 hour stay limit.
Not a bad place for a spot of beach fishing close to town. The site is FREE but not pet friendly

Getting there: From the Bruce Hwy take the signed Balgal Beach Rd out to Acheron Rd. At Balgal Beach itself take a left onto Ocean Parade then a left onto Justin Street. Follow out to rest area.
