Spicers Gap, Main Ranger National Park, is an open grassed area set in gum forest half way up the main range. Facilities include toilets, picnic areas, walking trails and historical points of interest. The camp ground is well situated to explore the Main Range and some of the surrounding look outs such as the Governor's Chair, which is accesible west of the camp ground by 4WD.

Fees for camping permits in national parks and other protected areas, forest reserves, State forests and recreation areas, from 1 July 2017:
- $6.35 per person per night, or $25.40 per family per night;
- $3.50 per person per night for students and accompanying adults on approved educational excursions.
- $25.40 per night per family. 1 or 2 adults, accompanied by 3 to 6 children under 18 year applies to a maximum of 8 people in total. Children under 5 years free of charge.
Getting there: On the Cunningham Hwy about 5km west of Aratula take Lake Moogerah Rd. Follow this several km's out Spices Gap Rd (Gravel) and take this up to the campground. NOTE: This site is only accessible by conventional 2WD during dry weather and is not suitable for caravans or trailers.
