Rush Dam Camping Area, Greater Bendigo National Park is a small scrubby bush camp a short distance north of Bendigo. It has a fire pit, picnic table but not much else. This part of the park is popular with hiking and trail bike riding. Evidence of mining during the gold rush is every where and prospectors still try their luck in the area today. A permit for prospecting is required. The Dam like the nearby Mulga Dam Camp, is more or less a puddle for most of the year and provides little in the way of a scenic back drop. The site is FREE.
