Green Mountains - Lamington National Park, is situated on a grassy hill, surrounded by lush rain forest. Flat camp sites have been cut into the slope giving campers a nice flat area to set up tents. The camp ground is only a short walk from the commercially managed O'Reilly's Rainforest Retreat which can provide a few creature comforts.
There are many walking tracks of varying degrees of difficulty through out the park. Valley views, waterfalls, tropical rain forest and tree top walks are just some of the attractions that makes this one of the best spots for hiking in South East Queensland.
The sites facilities include toilets, hot showers and an industrial rubbish bin and the nearby resort has a public phone. However, threre are no BBQ facilities and open fires are not permitted so you'll need to bring a gas stove to cook and boil water.
