Styx River Rest Area, is a FREE campsite on the creek near the entrance to the New England National Park, a short drive from other campsites, look outs and walks within the park. There isn't much at the site itself, but it is a handy spot if the other sites are busy or you' re looking for some where to pop a squat for a night. The surrounding New England National Park has plenty on offer and this site is a good shaded spot to set up base camp and explore the region.

Getting there: About 70km east of Armidale or 15km west of Ebor on the Grafton Rd, take Pt look Out Rd about 5km out the the site close to the entry to the national park.
