The Basin, Onley State Forest is set among tall timber at the bottom of a valley and is a beautifully secluded place to camp. It's free, pet friendly, open fires are permitted and it's easy enough to get trailers and vans into the site during dry weather. Onley State forest is set in the Watagan Mountains and is the perfect spot to 4WD, mountain bike, horse ride, motor cycle or hike.

Getting there: This and other campsites are right in the middle of the state forest and can be found off mostly well signed unsealed roads. There are many ways to enter the state forest or Watagans National Park. You will find this site well signed about 8km east of the Letter A on George Downes Drive. Or 22km north of Yarramalong via Brush Creek Rd.
