Passmore Reserve, Leyburn, is a large, well maintained, open grassed area by the condamine river. This peaceful patch of bush camping has little in the way of amenities as there are no toilets. Small wood fired BBQ's and some fixed bins are available. The site has a few shady spots and there is plenty of space to spread out if in a large group.
The river provides a nice spot to relax or fish for Perch, Yellow Belly and Murray Cod, and given the right conditions you maybe able to swim in some parts of the river.
Scared trees which have had bark removed by indigenous Australians for the creation of canoes, shelters, shields and containers can be seen at the reserve.
The best bit is this site is FREE and Pet friendly. Not a bad spot!
